  1. My 1999 MBZ C280, which I bought new in March 1999, was towed to another repair shop in Nov. 2016, when it failed to start at home. The car has just over 102,000 miles and has been garaged it’s whole life. It sat for nine months at that shop during which time I patiently accepted monthly and eventually weekly excuses of why it was taking so long to get repaired. They had determined that the Engine Control Module had burned out and a new one along with software programming would cost approximately $4000. The shop owner, who I had known for a number of years and who had serviced both of my MBZ cars before, said he was having trouble obtaining the required software programming needed for the car. He also had endured some medical problems during this time, which added about a month to the delays.

But, then in June of 2017, my primary MBZ (2007 S550) needed maintenance servicing. The problems with the C280 caused me to look for another repair shop. I had heard of Monaco Motors and decided to talk with Wade Lennan the owner and subsequently had my S550 serviced my them. I also told Wade about the situation with my C280, which was still sitting at the other shop.

The result of our conversation was to have the C280 towed from the other shop to Monaco Motors for repair. Monaco Motors replaced the Engine Control Module, programmed to software to the car and serviced a number of other problems the car had (new keys made; brake flush; cabin filter; engine air filter; replace the Air Mass Sensor, which was for a V8 and did not belong in my V6; replace front shocks; transmission service; shifter bushings; oil change; new batter; A/C service; coolant flush and third brake light replaced). These problems were either caused by the car sitting for so long in the open air rear yard of the other shop or because of shoddy maintenance/repair work they had done over the years. But Monaco Motors had my car back to me fully repaired within two weeks.

Wade properly took care of his other customers that were schedule before me. But, I could not have been happier with Monaco Motors and the professional service and courtesy they provided me. I have used a number of other repair shops and dealership services over the years, but I have never found any of them as good as Monaco Motors. Wade and his staff are constantly attending training classes, which allows them to be thoroughly versed and up to date in all aspects of their profession. I’m a person who appreciates the attention to details and Monaco Motors does just that in all catagories. During the time Wade was repairing my car, he regularly gave me updates and explained everything, which i appreciated greatly.

I don’t normally write reviews. In fact, this is the very first review I have ever written. But, it is well deserved. Monaco Motors has my highest endorsement should you need a quality repair shop for your car.
